From the open upper deck you pass Dolmabahçe Palace, the Ortaköy Mosque under the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, the waterside mansions and Rumeli Fortress, with the Maiden's Tower on its own islet. The boat then turns back toward the old city for the sunset over the historic peninsula.
