Is the boat in the photos really the one I will sail on?
Yes, always. Every photo and video on a listing is the real, actual boat you will board, shot on that exact vessel. We never use AI-generated images, stock photos, or a nicer boat to sell a cheaper one. Compare the photos to the boat waiting at the pier and you will find the same boat. That is the whole point of Captain's Word™, and we stand behind it on every booking.
Does Captain's Word™ cost anything extra?
No, and it never will. Captain's Word™ is included free on every Bosphorus cruise we sell. There is no add-on to buy, no upgrade to unlock, and no fine print. It is simply how we work: the boat you see is the boat you sail, on every booking, at no extra cost.
How do I know which boat I booked?
Your boat is named on your booking confirmation, so you always know exactly which vessel you are getting. Before you step aboard, you can match that name and the listing photos to the boat at the pier. If anything does not line up, tell our team and we will sort it out on the spot.
What happens if I am given a different boat?
You get a full refund, and it really is that simple. Tell us whenever you notice, at the pier, during the cruise, or after you are back home, and we refund you in full. There are no forms to fill in, no fine print to argue over, and the burden is on us, not you. If the boat was not the one on your booking, the refund is yours.
Is there a deadline to report a wrong boat?
No, there is no time limit. We will not hide behind a 24-hour window or a claims deadline. Whether you realize it at the pier or days later looking back at your own photos, let us know the boat did not match your booking and we will make it right.
What counts as a different boat?
Captain's Word™ is about the identity of the vessel: the specific boat named and shown on your booking versus the boat actually waiting at the pier. Being moved to a smaller, older, or more crowded boat than the one you saw is covered. Small seasonal changes on the same boat, such as different decor, a different crew, or a minor menu swap, are not a different boat.
What if my boat is out of service on the day?
Boats occasionally need maintenance, and safety always comes first. If your boat genuinely cannot sail, we tell you before departure rather than surprise you at the pier. You then choose the alternative boat we offer or a full refund, whichever you prefer. What we will never do is quietly move you onto a lesser boat and hope you do not notice.
Does Captain's Word™ cover weather or cancellations?
Weather, sea conditions, or an authority decision can occasionally change or cancel a sailing, and those are covered by our free cancellation and refund policy, which already gives you a full refund. Captain's Word™ covers a different promise: that the boat itself matches the photos you booked from. Together, the two protect you on both the boat and the booking.
