Currency & exchange rates

Our prices are shown in euros. If your payment card is in another currency, your bank handles the conversion. Here is what that means for the amount you are charged.

What currency are prices in?

All prices on our site are shown and charged in euros (EUR). The euro amount you see at checkout is the amount we charge.

Paying with a card in another currency

If your card is in another currency, such as US dollars, pounds, or Turkish lira, your bank converts the euro amount automatically. A few things to know:

  • Your bank sets the rate: the exchange rate is decided by your bank at the time of payment, not by us
  • A small fee may apply: some banks add a foreign-transaction or conversion fee, often around 1 to 3 percent
  • Your statement may differ slightly: because of the rate and any fee, the amount on your statement can be a little different from the euro price

Tips for a better rate

  • Check your card’s foreign-transaction fee with your bank before booking
  • If you are ever offered the choice to pay in euros or your home currency, paying in euros usually gives a better rate
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay use the same card, so the same conversion and fees apply

Refunds and currency

If you are refunded, the amount goes back to the same card in euros and your bank converts it back. The refunded amount in your currency can differ slightly from what you paid if the exchange rate has changed in the meantime. See refunds and how long they take.

For the cards and wallets we accept, see payment methods. Any questions, contact us.
