Refunds & how long they take
When you are due a refund, it is returned to you automatically. Here is how refunds work, how long they take, and what to do if one is late.
How refunds work
- Same payment method: refunds always go back to the card or wallet you paid with
- Automatic: once we confirm the cancellation by email, your refund is processed without you doing anything
- In euros: refunds are issued in euros, and your bank converts the amount back to your currency
How long it takes
After we process the refund, the time for it to appear depends on your bank, usually 3 to 5 business days. A few points:
- Cards: typically 3 to 5 business days
- Apple Pay and Google Pay: the same, since they use your card
- Weekends and holidays: can add a day or two to your bank’s processing time
When you get a refund
You are refunded when:
- You cancel within the free cancellation window, see our free cancellation policy
- The operator cancels and no alternative works for you, see if the operator cancels
- A change leaves a price difference in your favour, see change your booking
Not received your refund?
If it has been more than 5 business days and you have your cancellation confirmation email, check with your bank first, as the refund can sit as pending on their side. If it still has not arrived, contact us with your booking reference and we will trace it for you.
