Running late or missed your cruise
Bosphorus cruises leave on schedule and cannot wait for latecomers, so if you are running behind, act quickly. Here is what to do, what happens if you miss the boat, and how to avoid it.
If you are running late
- Contact us right away with your booking reference, so we know and can advise you
- Head to the meeting point as fast as you safely can
- If you reach the pier before departure, check in and board as normal
If you miss the departure
Boats leave on time, so a missed departure usually counts as a no-show, which under the cancellation terms is not refundable when it is within 24 hours of the cruise. Even so, contact us as soon as you can, because we will always try to help. See our free cancellation policy for the terms.
Can I move to a later cruise?
Sometimes we can move you to a later departure on the same day or another day, depending on availability. This is not guaranteed, and any price difference for the new slot applies, but the sooner you contact us, the more we can do.
How to avoid running late
- Arrive early: aim for 15 to 20 minutes before departure
- Allow a buffer: summer, weekends, and rush hour are busier, so leave extra time. See when to arrive for travel times
- Use the tram: it is more predictable than road traffic to Kabataş
- Keep your booking handy: have your booking reference and our contact details ready on your phone
